Quick Update

A quick update for all you metal heads out there. First off, Cornerstone was amazing, and Day of Metal 2009 was the best to date by far! It was great meeting so many new people as well as seeing a lot of old faces, and I am already looking forward to next year! Soon videos will be posted for all of the bands who played Day of Metal.

Three new releases were released at Cornerstone: A Hill To Die Upon / Infinite Titanic Immortal, Darkness Before Dawn / King's to You, and Dark Lay Still / Through Hell. All 3 are available at the usual culprits in North America, and they will be hitting shelves at stores throughout Europe in September. The 3 bands are also out and playing shows, so be sure to go support them!

Bombworks Records recently revamped our myspace page (found at www.myspace.com/bombworksrecords) with a completely new layout. Soon, we will also be offering people the ability to buy Bombworks releases directly from both the myspace and the website. Stay tuned for this.

On a final note, though it has been beaten into the ground by so many different parties, for those of you who illegally download CDs, please stop. The idea that illegal downloads hurt only the big labels is a myth, and the ever-increasing propensity of people who download music that wasn't paid for is taking its toll. Sales are the lifeblood of small and mid-size labels and the bands they support, and illegal downloads are slowly sucking the life away. It is so easy to sample music from a band these days via sites like myspace before you buy the release. If you love the music that a band or a label is putting out, then please support them by purchasing the music. Despite what many people seem to think, it is very expensive to put out a release and support it and the band properly, and the future of music is bleak if this trend does not stop.
